Warts & Corn Removal
Corns are the hard bumps on your feet which occurs where there is a high friction of pressure on the bony area or the bony prominence of the foot. As to respond to that added localised pressure, the foot in that area thickens itself. As a result of this skin pressure an inadequate blood circulation in the skin causes the corns to occur. Corn does not bleed or it does not itch, even when you pinch it there is no pain in it. The only time when you feel pain is when the corn is in direct pressure when you walk. Warts on the other hand care not caused by friction or pressure. Warts are a skin condition that is by Human pailloma. It’s a virus that when enters the skin through opening or breaks causes warts to form. Unlike corns, warts are contagious and should be treated as quickly as possible. The common cause of corns is due to wearing shoes that are tight around the corners where toes have contact and feel the pressure. Basic difference between Warts and warts can appear all over the body whereas Corns are concentrated and are found only on foot.
These are discreet Plantar warts found on feet and are also called verruca. They are round papules that have a rough surface surrounded by a collar of hyperkeratosis. It is an infection of the epidermis caused by the virus called human papilloma. When removed with the help of a scalpel it produces multiple bleeding points as soon as the hyperkeratosis is removed. On the other hand, when corn is removed it produces a decreasing cone of keratin which involves no capillary bleeding as such.
Treatment & Aftercare:
After the procedure, the patient should wear shoes that fit properly. To avoid re-occurrence, the corn can be pared down with the help of the scalpel and the central core of keratin is removed which can be done in a single sitting. For warts, the very best treatment of warts is complete removal through Pulsed dye laser or CO2 laser and HPV vaccines. After the removal, the patient is advised not to pull or prick the skin during healing and also needs to avoid direct sunlight.
